Learn about a range of resources local to the Greater Cincinnati area that can be used in the dye pot to create natural color.

This class will cover a variety of resources that are native to the region that can be used for natural dyeing. Participants will learn the importance of cultivating indigenous plants, ethics in wildcrafting, using invasive species, and get hands-on experience with these amazing, surprisingly colorful plants.

Class participants will go home with having dyed 4 mini-skeins of wool yarn with in-season dyes, and a zine filled with information to further explore creating a dye practice with locally-harvested plants, lichens, and fungi.
